We have a professional workshop with Cytech certified mechanics in Hythe with over 20 years experience. At 3c Cycles we cater for all workshop needs from a puncture repair to a full custom build, we will take on any challenge.

Our workshop has all the tools needed for all makes and models of bikes including Bosch, Giant and Shimano e-bikes.

SERVICING

BRONZE SERVICE: £40

For the occasional user - keep brakes and gears working perfectly.

DRIVETRAIN

  • Check both gear mechs for wear and damage - adjust limit stops as required
  • Check operation of gears - adjust as necessary
  • Lubricate brake and gear cables (replace if required - chargeable)
  • Inspect chain for wear using wear indicator - lubricate if OK, replace if not (chargeable)
  • Inspect chainrings and cassette
  • Check bottom bracket for play

FRAME AND WHEELS

  • Check for damage to frame, forks, tyres, and components
  • Examine wheels and tyres - specifically braking surfaces and tread condition. Inflate tyres to correct pressure.

BRAKES

  • Check the mounting and alignment of both brakes - adjust as necessary
  • Inspect brakes for wear and damage
  • Inspect condition of brake pads
  • Check operation of brakes - adjust as necessary (additional charge for bleeding hydraulic brakes)

 

 

SILVER SERVICE: £60

For the frequent user

DRIVETRAIN

  • Fit parts quoted for at inspection
  • Inspect both pedals for wear and tear
  • Ensure both crank arms are tightened to manufacturer's torque settings
  • Align hangar and adjust gears

FRAME, WHEELS AND STEERING

  • Remove and inspect wheels for wear or damage to hubs, bearings, spokes, rims, and tyres
  • Check both wheels run true - true as required
  • Fit parts quoted for at inspection
  • Check stem and headset alignment and security, and ensure all bolts are tightened to manufacturer's torque settings
  • Check security of handlebar clamp and handlebar mounted controls, ensuring that all bolts are tightened to manufacturer's torque settings

SUSPENSION (where fitted)

  • Inspect front suspension fork - check for worn seals and oil leakage
  • Inflate forks to correct air pressure for rider's weight
  • Inspect rear suspension unit for leakage - ensure mounting points are tightened to manufacturer's torque settings
  • Ensure rear shock is correctly tensioned/inflated for the rider

ELECTRIC BIKES SILVER SERVICE: £70

Includes everything in a silver service PLUS:

  • Disconnect, clean, and reseal (with silicone) all connectors
  • Clean crank sensor and confirm correct operation
  • Test, check, and fully recharge battery
  • Run diagnostic software (where correct cable and software is available) and report to owner

 

GOLD SERVICE: £120

For the high mileage user - a full strip and rebuild plus full replacement of brake and gear cables.

Includes everything in a silver service PLUS:

DRIVETRAIN

  • Replace all cables
  • Remove bottom bracket - clean, chase and face (if needed) and refit

FRAME AND WHEELS

  • Remove wheel axles - degrease, inspect, re-grease and reassemble
  • Remove headset - degrease, inspect, re-grease and reassemble

BRAKES

  • Remove brakes - clean, check for caliper wear/damage and refit

Of course, as you pile on the miles, components will wear out. When that happens, our mechanics are equipped with a full workshop, with everything they need to get you back into the action.

Repairs are often quoted at inspection. Prices below are for common issues.

  • Brake service - £10 per brake
  • Derailleur service - £10 per derailleur
  • Wheel true - £10
  • Fit spokes & wheel true - £20 (does not include price of spokes)
  • Tubeless set up - £15 per wheel (does not include parts)
  • Hydraulic brake bleed - £15
